Bells started with two friends, Jon Hershey and Sean Hennessey, back in 2005 after Hershey left metal band, August Burns Red. Hershey and Hennessey played casually together for years, with a number of line up changes.
In 2010, Sean left This or the Apocalypse to rejoin Jon to seriously pursue music together, which is when Bells was born . Around this time Bells wrote and recorded their cover of August Burns Red's "Pangaea" which was included on the deluxe edition of the album "Leveler".
In the months following the release of Leveler, Bells started writing and recording their first album at Hennessey's Studio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. At this time, Jon and Sean asked close friend Tim Kettering to join the band. Bells is set to release the album entitled "Our Forest, Our Empire" August 28th.
Bells: Sean Hennessey, Jon Hershey, Tim Kettering, Toby Pool, and Joe Terranova .
Our Forest, Our Empire has been an album waiting to happen for years. The stars have aligned, and time has been made for it to actually see the light of day. Rather than describing what we picture it as, we would love for you to take a listen and interpret it for yourself!
